USMNT Defeat Bolivia 1-0 in Copa America Opener
Gio Reyna's early goal proves decisive as the United States get their Copa America campaign off to a winning start
The United States defeated Bolivia 1-0 in their opening match of the Copa America on Monday night. Gio Reyna scored the only goal of the game in the 10th minute, and the United States held on for the win despite some late pressure from Bolivia.
The United States started the match brightly and took the lead early on. Reyna received a pass from Weston McKennie on the left wing and drove into the Bolivian penalty area. He cut inside and fired a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.
The United States had several chances to extend their lead in the first half, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Bolivia had a few chances of their own, but they were unable to seriously test United States goalkeeper Matt Turner.

The United States will face Uruguay in their next match on Wednesday night. Uruguay is one of the favorites to win the Copa America, so it will be a tough test for the United States.
