Italy's Spalletti Chooses Strikers for Nations League Match Against France

Italy Coach Names Trio for Les Bleus Clash

Italy manager Luciano Spalletti has named his squad for the upcoming Nations League match against France, with three strikers included in the selection. The match will take place at the San Siro stadium in Milan on September 21st, 2023.

  • Martinez has been in impressive form for Inter this season, scoring in each of his last three Serie A appearances.
  • Abraham has also been in good form for Roma, netting six goals in his last seven matches.
  • Vlahovic has been struggling for form of late, but he remains a dangerous striker.

In addition to the three strikers, Spalletti has also called up a number of other notable players for the match against France, including:

  • Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alex Meret, Guglielmo Vicario
  • Defenders: Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Alessandro Bastoni, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Gianluca Mancini, Emerson Palmieri
  • Midfielders: Marco Verratti, Jorginho, Nicolo Barella, Sandro Tonali, Bryan Cristante
  • Forwards: Federico Chiesa, Domenico Berardi

Tough Test for Italy

Italy will face a tough test against France, who are the reigning world champions. Les Bleus have a number of world-class players in their squad, including Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, and Antoine Griezmann.

However, Italy will be confident of getting a result against France, especially with the home crowd behind them.

Nations League Standings

Italy are currently top of their Nations League group, with four points from two games. France are second in the group, with three points from two games.

A win for Italy against France would put them in a strong position to qualify for the Nations League finals.

Spalletti's Comments

Spalletti said that he is confident in his team's chances against France.

"We know that France are a great team, but we are also a good team," Spalletti said.
